Pure tuning power for Outlook®: ESM Tools make missing functions available! Outlook® can do a lot, but unfortunately not everything. The ESM Tools from outlook-stuff.com recognise the gaps in coverage and expand Outlook® to include the urgently needed functions. Hence, it is possible to show the age of birthday kids in the calendar, standardise telephone number formats, or copy items from one folder into another. Even a fast Excel® export is only a mouse click away from now on. Â
The declared goal of EDV-Service Marchert is to make Outlook® just a touch better and more user friendly than the Windows command centre that it already is. The ESM Tools that it developed hook right into Outlook® after the installation and improve the usability right away. Each ESM tool covers a specific application area. It is worth it to order the ESM Tools in a packet right from the start, because that way the tools are considerably better priced than paying for them individually. The following important ESM Tools are included in ToolBox Pro.
ChangeNames: Standardised display of contacts. The data in the Outlook® contacts folder often comes from a great variety of sources. Hence, it is easily possible for each entry to be formatted differently. ChangeNames brings all datasets into a standardised state and also completes missing personal titles at the same time. Naturally, the user can define exactly what contacts and folders are to be processed. A preview makes it possible to view the changes before execution and using them afterwards. It is also possible to change the sorting of distribution lists so that the addresses are sorted by the last names.
CopyFolder: Copy folder A to folder B. If Outlook® data is synchronised with a mobile device, the system often only synchronises the default folders. However, CopyFolder also copies, for example, public folders to the default folders and that way circumvents this problem. The tool can control any number of copy jobs, which can also be executed fully automatically. One particular highlight is the way it works together with the calendar. If, for example, copy jobs are defined there in a recurring appointment according to a specific syntax, then CopyFolder processes them at the defined time.
CustomAnniversaries: The equivalent of the existing tool CustomBirthdays, only for anniversaries.
CustomBirthdays: Age display on birthdays. Outlook® can extract the birthdays from the contacts and display them in the calendar. This ESM Tool then calculates how old those individuals will be on their birthdays and shows this information in the calendar as well. The birthday display can be designed individually through placeholders. Anyone who wants can also delete birthday corpses (i.e. calendar entries without an associated contact) from the calendar, automatically send a birthday email, or completely prevent the entry of birthdays in the calendar.
EditContacts Pro: Search and replace in the Outlook® Contacts. With this tool, it is possible to edit multiple Outlook® contacts at one time with a search and replace function. Hence, it is finally no longer a problem, for example, to modify changed company data or domain names in all relevant datasets in one go. In the process, it is no problem to replace characters, fill in characters, overwrite them, copy them, move them, swap them, combine them and much more.
FixMyBars: Some add-ins installs their own menu bars but do not remember their positions. After a restart of Outlook® you have chaos again. FixMyBars arranges your symbol and/or menu bars as you want!
FormatNumbers: Standardised format for telephone numbers. FormatNumbers is still the favourite of the EMS Tools. In no time at all, the program puts all telephone and fax numbers into a standardised format. It looks better and also prevents easily occurring synchronisation problems with mobile devices. On request, the fax numbers in the address book will also be hidden.
ShowMailHeader: Specific information on an email. Written in the header of an email is exactly from whom the message came and what path it took through the Web. ShowMailHeader shows this header and in the process, gives all the relevant information in the usual way. The data can be saved as a text file or can be loaded in the browser or directly in Outlook® in HTML format (as of version 2003).
