The process of labeling appointments (Birthday or None) takes not place directly in Outlook® so one could think that nothing changed after the adaption.

If fact, the labeling is changed but not registered from Outlook®. Highlight another appointment and after that again the originally one. With this process the information will be read in again and then be shown.
