If there's a lack of files that are necessary for uninstalling (e.g. unins000.dat or unins000.exe), the program can be manually uninstalled as described beneath. Please keep in mind that you have to have admin rights for that process.
The example refers to the program FormatNumbers. Please adjust all data of the example to the according program you want to delete.
-
Then delete the complete program directory. Keep in mind to previously backup your files just in case you want to reinstall the program again in the future.
-
If you have not installed further add-ins from outlook-stuff.com, you can also delete the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\ESM-Tools Shared*. Before the deletion, please unregister the contained dll files as described above. In older program versions there is instead of such a directory a file called Redemption.dll in the directory system32 (C:\Windows\System32\). If available please unregister and then delete this file.
* in older versions Marchert Shared
-
Check also the directories C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\ and C:\Documents and Settings\%USER NAME%\My Documents\". If there are directories with the name of the program, please delete them.
-
Click on start -> Run -> regedit -> OK (unexperienced users should consult an expert because inaccurate work on the registry can lead to system failure).
-
Remove the following entries: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\ESM-Tools*\FormatNumbers(Notice: If several Windows® users worked with the program, the entry has to be deleted for each user separately. Therefor a login to each corresponding user account is necessary. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESM-Tools*\FormatNumbers HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\FormatNumbers.ComAddIn
* ESM-Tools absent in older versions
-
If you have not installed further add-ins from outlook-stuff.com, you can also delete the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\ESM-Tools. That's where among other things the position of the menu bar is stored.
All these steps (with exception of the last one) are also executed by the uninstalling program. So normally the program is completely removed from your computer. |
