With the installation the file LiveUpdate.exe is copied into the shared program directory. It provides information about new available versions of installed outlook-stuff.com software.
Sometimes protection software defines the file as virus, etc. and puts it into quarantine or even deletes it. In this case you can install again any program to restore the file. Alternatively you can install the SharedFiles again.
After that tell your Antivirus program that this file (LiveUpdate.exe and/or udt.exe) is not a virus. The file also needs access to the world wide web (and must not be blocked by the firewall) to work correctly.
You could also generally deactivate the update function in any information window of an add-in (not recommended).
The connection to the Update-Server (outlook-stuff.com) does not transmit personal data. |
